Heheh.. I should get around to writing it all up, huh? JB was wonderful and ahh.. *gushes*
Are you going to Sex Wales and Anarchy? Was wondering if I could cadge a cheeky lift if so? I can just afford the ticket and to give you petrol money, and I'd really love to go, but I'm DJing Deathbed on the Fri, and can't really afford a hotel for the Sat, sooo...
Haven't seen you in too long missus, it seems like aages since the last Deathbed!!
I can't do SWA as I'm working with no way of getting the weekend off. As I don't get back from Scotland until the 3rd, after driving 800 plus miles in a week, this probably isn't a bad thing. Otherwise you know I would say yes.
ION I'll hopefully be heading out for a gig your way on the 17th September to see a band called Obsessive Compulsive (who supported Blue Gillespie in April). We could meet up if you wanted, I'll also be bringing our Alan. Talking of Blue Gillespie they're playing Northwich again on the 23rd October. I have one space left in the car atm, but it would be in the back.
Booked a double for single occupancy, he even offered me the same room, but then amended it to a few floors down (same spot, just a few floors down) when I mentioned my wonky legs. £65 per night, he even adjusted the Thursday down to the lower rate for me. He pulled up my booking from April, I think that must have helped, because he seemed a lot more positive/cheery when he found it on his computer. I don't know whether it helps that I've booked in for the Thursday too? It's all paid for now at least. Just debating what level ticket to go for now..
I booked this afternoon for the hotel, so that's really weird.. hmm.
Ah, I was using the website as it's too difficult using the phone and that explains it - they often have the odd one available if you book over the phone when none are coming up as available on the website.
Ah right, yeah. They also don't let you use the discounted Hub code via that site either, do they? I think they specifically keep a block of rooms back for con dates. They must do, because some people were saying they'd sold out way back in May!!! Might be worthwhile bringing up with Massive Events and/or The Park Inn for future events, given how scewed that is against people who can't use the phone for whatever reason?
Also, if I'd known that, we could've figured out some way of me booking for you :( B'ah!

Date: 2010-08-24 09:56 pm (UTC)ME aren't particularly deaf friendly as a whole tbh, though individually they are and The Park is dreadful (though not as bad as the Hilton).
