'Lo all...

As part of our charity goth all-dayer on the 25th of this month, we'll be doing a biiigg raffle to try to raise some serious cash for the trust involved. This will be at the ace Hex venue in Birkenhead on the Wirral

Sooo I'm basically looking for some items from labels, bands, nightclubs/events etc that would be suitable. The more unusual/bizarre the better! Anything from stickers, keyrings, bottle-openers, lighters, to t-shirts, cds, tickets.. anything really. The only real privisos being that the item needs to be new, and sent to us rather quickly ;)
If peeps can get things to us quickly, we can namecheck all those who donate to us, and your help would be very much appreciated!

God I'm knackered!

Quick note just to say hi and thanks to all who pottered along to see us last night. All the guests & Yanni of course did a sterling job, i was really impressed, cheers guys :)

Apologies for the temporary break in sound in the Black Room during Screaming Banshee Aircrew. This was down to our amp having a hissy due to the heat. It was soon resolved by the addition of a fan, so thanks for your patience..

I really enjoyed last night, and by the looks of it, so did you!

Don't forget our charity all-dayer coming up next on Sunday 25th September @Hex feturing: Killing Miranda, 616 Abortions, The way of all Flesh, Rome Burns, Voices of Masada, deadfilmstar, Flight and Gnosis.. only £7.50 for all those bands, plus stalls, raffles.. and lots of fun stuff all for a good cause..

In the flesh from us at After Dark/Midian this coming Saturday with
no booking fee: £12
Simon (DJ Psychomagnet) will also have tickets with him this coming
Thursday at his night in the Fishbowl @ Jillys'. He should also have
some available at Club Lash on Friday, and Darklands in York this
Saturday.

They're also available from Bad Ass Boutique in the Quiggins
building. Please note these may have a booking fee attached.

Tickets are also available from the Midian website, with only 50p
additional postage, or Music Non Stop for £14.

Howdy all.. quick reminder and some news about Septembers' events:
SATURDAY 10th September
=======================
After Dark and Midian join forces on the same evening in the same
venue! Yep, the darkest party now runs alongside the Merseyside goth
night in two floors of fun and frolics :)
w/ request-friendly DJ carrion, plus new resident Yanni Oblivion

We have some very special guests joining us this month, due to Simon
guesting for Darklands. Helping us out on the After Dark floor will
be DJ Assimilate, better known to some of you as Spikey Kris,
spinning some old school industrial , alternative and EBM. Helping
out on the Midian floor we have Midians' very own founder, the
Gothfather himself, Tags. Plus we have a very special guest in the
form of DJ Grimly Fiendish from DIY and Dirty in St Annes',
Blackpool. Midians' guests will be adding to the spooky mix of old
and new goth classics in the black room

9pm-2am

Entry is £1 before 10pm, and £3 after, and gains you entry to both
floors of fun :)

We really need your support on this one, as we have the potential to
even go twice monthly at this venue, if the night is a success..

Hex is a 600+ capacity venue providing two dancefloors, well
equipped bars (inc themed inhouse cocktails!), large, clean toilets,
large chillout foyer area, kitchen providing snacks and meals,
cloakroom, pool table and dancing cages.

There are also good links with local and national transport, with
Birkenhead Central train station, Birkenhead Bus station, black and
private hire taxi ranks all being less than 5 mins from the venue.
There is also extensive parking in the area.

What a gig..

Knackered now..

Extremely hot. Trent was pouring with sweat (yum!) Lots of people flaking out all over the place

Some highlights.. kicking off with Wish, then Sin. Reptile was excellent, as was Something I can Never Have.. good 'greatest hits' mix of tunes. Saw lots of LJers, but too tired to go looking for user names at this time of night!

Food, wine and bed. After I've changed my teeshirt.. Nice ;)
